Turn every mistake into a better score.

The review after a drill is where the learning happens. Give every miss a cause and a next action.

01

Classify the miss

Was it a concept gap, a setup error, a misread question, or time pressure? Be specific: 'forgot to square the area scale factor' is useful; 'bad at geometry' is not.

02

Explain the correct path

Read the explanation, then close it and solve from a blank page. If you cannot explain a step, return to the underlying concept.

03

Write a one-line rule

Add a note to your error notebook: 'For similar shapes, square the length scale factor to compare areas.' Make the rule something you can apply next time.

04

Return after a delay

Revisit the skill tomorrow, a few days later, and the following week. Correct delayed retrieval matters more than immediately recognizing an answer you just saw.

PUT IT INTO CONTEXT

Error: chose x = 3 when asked for x + y. Rule: underline the requested expression, then check it before submitting.
