Build a pacing plan that stays calm.
Your aim is to earn points across the whole module. A difficult question should not consume time you need elsewhere.
Know the format
Reading and Writing has 54 questions in two 32-minute modules. Math has 44 questions in two 35-minute modules. There is a 10-minute break between sections.
Use a two-pass approach
On your first pass, answer questions with a clear path. If you are stuck after a meaningful attempt, choose your best answer, mark it, and move on.
Use checkpoints, not rigid limits
Check the timer periodically and leave time to revisit marked items. Some questions take seconds and others need longer; avoid treating the average as a hard limit.
Finish the current module
You can revisit questions within the active module, but cannot go back after it ends. Answer every question before time runs out; incorrect answers do not carry an extra guessing penalty.
Practice a 5-question sprint, then review what slowed you down. Gradually move to full timed modules in the official Bluebook app.
